Job description

The Bank of New York Mellon seeks a Vice President, Quality Assurance and Testing II for its Jersey City, NJ location.

DUTIES:
  1. Develop testing plan scenarios for complex unit, process, function, integration, and acceptance testing.
  2. Define, plan, and execute testing efforts.
  3. Participate in quality assurance and metrics architecture projects.
  4. Define testing criteria, analyze testing results, and present findings to QA leadership.
  5. Analyze complex system requirements and resolve testing issues.
  6. Monitor and improve the effectiveness of QA technology use.
  7. Develop automation scripts for functional and regression testing, integrated with CI/CD pipelines.
  8. Recommend new products and provide guidance in their development.
  9. Identify and document software and system defects and provide solutions.
  10. Contribute to achieving area objectives.
  11. Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Eight (8) years of experience in a similar role, including:
  • Utilizing Agile methodologies.
  • Designing automated test frameworks with Page Object Model and Data-Driven Testing, using Oracle, DB2, Snowflake.
  • Developing with Java, Selenium WebDriver, and Python for UI testing.
  • Using Rest Assured API for API testing.
  • Comparing data in financial systems using SQL and JDBC.
  • Applying Orthogonal Array Testing Techniques.
  • Monitoring CI pipelines in GitLab.
