Job Summary

The Business Transformation Group (BTG) supports Capital Markets by partnering closely with the Front Office and Functional teams to enable change through business-driven transformation. RBC's Capital Markets includes Equities, Fixed Income, Central Funding, Treasury, and Corporate & Investment Banking segments. This role primarily supports US Capital Markets initiatives, with support for global initiatives when applicable, and is based within the Office of the COO.

Job Description

The candidate will contribute to the Business Transformation Program Portfolio as a Project Manager, designing, implementing, and maintaining front-to-back project plans aligned with future-state corporate strategy, including regulatory and business innovation initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have 8-12 years of experience, preferably in financial services.

Please note: This is a hybrid role, requiring 3 days in the office per week.

Responsibilities
  • Develop relationships with internal partners and stakeholders, including the Front Office and Functional teams.
  • Participate in project forecasting, strategic planning, tactical planning, and budgeting.
  • Facilitate project deliverables and create relevant planning documentation.
  • Manage all aspects of projects to ensure milestones are met within deadlines.
  • Lead cross-functional Working Group meetings to drive results and resolve issues.
  • Prepare materials for senior management meetings, including Steering and Executive Committees.
  • Perform scenario analysis and risk assessments to monitor milestones and identify risks/opportunities.
  • Ensure the successful delivery of project objectives and keep stakeholders informed of benefits.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Project Management, or related field preferred.
  • 8-12 years of experience, preferably in financial services.
  • Proven project management experience with leadership and relationship skills.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, SharePoint, JIRA, and Confluence.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders.

  • Knowledge of Capital Markets products such as Derivatives and Loans.
