Rainier Climate in Bellevue, WA is seeking its first Vice President of Programs to translate organization-wide strategies into actionable plans and ensure consistent execution across the program team.

You will lead and mentor a team of Program Directors and Associates, oversee grantmaking from conception to implementation, and collaborate closely with the President to align programs with Rainier’s mission and opportunities in global partnerships.

About this Role

Rainier Climate is seeking its first Vice President of Programs to join the growing team in Bellevue, Washington. The role involves translating organization-wide strategies into actionable plans and ensuring consistent execution across the program team. This position provides a remarkable opportunity to influence how essential philanthropic capital is allocated during this critical time for climate action. Collaboration with the organization’s President and Cofounders is essential to align strategies with emerging opportunities and ensure alignment with Rainier’s mission. The VP will provide leadership and guidance to a team of Program Directors and Associates, ensuring the transparency and execution of Rainier’s strategies. Responsibilities include overseeing grantmaking processes from conception to implementation and maintaining an active partnership with the President regarding program alignment and execution.
