Job summary

JPMorganChase in Plano, TX seeks a Vice President to lead and continuously improve the portfolio governance operating model across Finance & Business Management. You will partner with senior leaders to strengthen governance routines, improve data quality, and elevate executive reporting.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of relevant experience in portfolio governance, portfolio operations, program/project management, technology management, consulting, or related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and running portfolio governance operating models across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Track record of improving reporting discipline, data quality and controls, and planning governance outcomes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present clearly to senior leaders and drive decisions.
  • Proven ability to structure ambiguous problems into clear narratives, action plans, and governance routines.
  • Strong relationship management and influencing skills across functions and levels, including driving accountability without direct reporting lines.
  • Strong analytical and executive-ready presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint

Responsibilities

  • Own the month-end portfolio governance calendar, including milestones, deadlines, and refresh cadence
  • Define and socialize guiding principles by stakeholder group, including documented roles and responsibilities and adherence expectations
  • Drive timely and accurate portfolio inputs and resolve exceptions and escalations to meet governance deadlines
  • Standardize investment taxonomy and definitions across Enablement Technology, including Change the Bank and Run the Bank classifications aligned to the Global Technology framework
  • Mature roll-off and resource capacity and utilization reporting with actionable views for leaders
  • Enable cost type analysis through consistent source data and documented definitions
  • Deliver cross–line of business investment reporting and aggregated Enablement Technology portfolio views
  • Reduce offline and ad as reporting by strengthening standard reporting products and underlying approaches
  • Support execution reporting with drill‑down capabilities in Jira where required
  • Establish data ownership and role‑based actions to improve portfolio data hygiene, controls, and continuous improvement
  • Build and maintain a governance communications plan and centralized knowledge base, and host recurring governance forums with supporting materials and training

Job Description

Bring clarity and discipline to complex technology investment portfolios. You will partner with senior leaders and stakeholder teams to strengthen portfolio governance routines, improve data quality, and elevate executive reporting. You will help leaders make sound investment decisions through consistent portfolio data, fit‑for‑purpose reporting, and transparent outcomes. This role is well‑suited for someone who combines operating rigor with strong judgment in ambiguous environments. You will have broad visibility across planning, execution, and governance.

As a Vice President in Enablement Technology, you will run and continuously improve the portfolio governance operating model, processes, and tooling in partnership with senior leaders across Finance & Business Management and business stakeholders. You will drive consistent, well‑defined portfolio data and reporting to support disciplined execution, transparent outcomes, and effective investment decisions across multiple lines of business. You will manage time‑sensitive deliverables, proactively identify risks and gaps, and elevate exceptions to protect governance outcomes. You will translate complex portfolio information into clear narratives, actions, and decisions for leaders.

  • Experience with the myIG suite (Portfolio Governance, Work‑to‑Work, and myData)
  • Experience with Jira, Tableau, Confluence, and SharePoint
  • Experience using enterprise‑authorized artificial intelligence capabilities to support governance and reporting, including strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity
