Description

We are looking for a Vice President, Plant Manager to join our Executive Team and lead our Sheridan, IN facility. As the VP, Plant Manager, you will oversee all aspects of plant operations, including production, quality, safety, engineering, buildings & grounds, and continuous improvement. You will coordinate manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with company objectives, quality systems, and customer expectations. You will also work closely with other senior leaders to develop and execute the strategic vision and goals of the company.

To be successful, you should have the following qualifications and skills:

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
  • At least 7+ years of proven leadership and supervision experience in plant management and engineering, preferably in the precision machining industry.
  • A demonstrated understanding of lean manufacturing principles and practices, such as 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma, TPM, etc., with the ability to apply these in designing and validating manufacturing processes that achieve organizational goals.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

  • Planning and coordinating manufacturing operations for production, machinery, processing, and shipping departments.
  • Ensuring production schedules align with facility capabilities, customer requirements, and financial plans.
  • Managing materials replenishment, quality standards, and performance metrics to support organizational goals.
  • Investigating and implementing innovative manufacturing processes to reduce costs and improve product quality.
  • Managing cost structures within budget allowances and exploring cost-reduction measures.
  • Creating documentation protocols and maintaining proper records of operations.
