Job Summary
- The Vice President, People Business Partnering is a high-impact, strategic leadership role responsible for partnering directly with the Chief Operating Officer to shape and drive the people agenda across the business. This role requires a seasoned business partner who brings both strategic insight and operational discipline to a rapidly growing, global organization.
- This individual must have a proven track record as a trusted advisor to C-suite leaders in companies with 3,000+ employees, and have at least 2 years of experience in management consulting. They will lead with a strong point of view, grounded in business acumen, and backed by deep HR and organizational expertise. This is a role for someone who knows how to build for scale, challenge thinking constructively, and drive people strategies that unlock enterprise-wide impact.
- While this is a highly strategic role, it is also hands-on, requiring someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and diving into the work when needed. As Risepoint scales, this role may evolve to lead the People Business Partnering function more broadly.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business Partnership
- Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to the COO and operational leadership team.
- Design and implement talent strategies that align with business priorities, drive performance, and support operational excellence.
- Lead enterprise-wide workforce planning initiatives focused on scalability, structure, and long-term capability building.
- Challenge assumptions, foster accountability, and guide people-centered decisions that create measurable business value.
Organizational & Leadership Effectiveness
- Build scalable people solutions that balance agility with structure—keeping innovation and execution aligned.
- Coach leaders through organizational design, change management, and leadership development.
- Drive a high-performance culture rooted in clarity, feedback, and results.
Team & Capability Building
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of senior HR professionals.
- Promote a build-versus-buy approach to capability development—knowing when to invest internally and when to leverage external expertise.
- Contribute to a culture of growth, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience as a People/HR Business Partner, including experience supporting C-suite executives in global organizations with 3,000+ employees
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a management consultant at a top-tier firm or equivalent
- Proven experience in high-growth, fast-paced environments
- Strong business and financial acumen, with the ability to translate business goals into talent strategies
- Demonstrated success in workforce planning, organizational design, and leadership development
- Experience with call-center environment would be beneficial.
- MBA preferred
- Broader HR experience (e.g., talent management, total rewards, HR operations) is a plus
- Experience managing and developing senior HR leaders
- Experience with Workday is an advantage
- Highly proficient in PowerPoint and Excel
- Enjoys interviewing, hiring, developing, and engaging employees and top talent
