About the client and role

As the business continues to expand into new markets, they are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to drive the next phase of growth in their PC segment.

This leadership role involves overseeing the strategy, execution, and growth of the PC-focused business unit. You will guide a multidisciplinary team to achieve financial targets, spearhead new product development, and forge strong customer partnerships. The ideal candidate will bring a unique blend of technical depth in PC systems and business leadership capabilities, with a proven ability to scale organizations and deliver results in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Define and lead the business unit’s strategic direction across product lines serving laptops, desktops, and next-gen computing platforms.
  • Business & Financial Oversight: Manage the business unit’s P&L, develop forecasts, and align investment strategies with market opportunities and long-term growth goals.
  • Product Vision & Roadmap: Drive the development of comprehensive hardware/software product roadmaps. Champion innovation initiatives that support competitive differentiation.
  • Team Development: Build and mentor cross-functional teams across product management, applications engineering, marketing, and systems design.
  • Customer & Market Engagement: Cultivate relationships with key customers and ecosystem partners. Translate customer insights into actionable product and market strategies.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, operations, sales, finance, and executive leadership to ensure alignment and execution across the product lifecycle.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Shape the commercialization approach, from product positioning to competitive analysis and launch readiness.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success in leading and scaling a product-focused business within the semiconductor or electronics industry.
  • Deep expertise in PC architecture and system-level design, with the ability to guide technical decision-making and product strategy.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-disciplinary teams and deliver results tied to revenue, margin, and market share goals.
  • Strong executive presence and experience building senior-level customer and partner relationships.
  • Comfortable navigating both strategic planning and day-to-day operational execution in a high-velocity market environment.

Preferred Background:

  • A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Business Administration (MSEE or MBA preferred).
  • 15+ years of relevant experience in technical product leadership roles, such as IC design, system engineering, or technical marketing within the PC or consumer tech space.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
