Base pay range

$180,000.00/yr - $250,000.00/yr

Location

The role is remote, however projects are predominantly in New England and candidates will ideally be able to work EST timezone and travel (When required) to New England states easily.

With decades of consistent growth and a reputation for best-in-class execution, they are now seeking an accomplished Vice President of Operations to help drive the next phase of the company’s evolution.

The Role

This is a field-active, leadership-forward position—not a back-seat executive role. The VP of Operations will oversee day-to-day construction operations, mentor and elevate Project Managers and Superintendents, ensure disciplined scheduling and cost control, drive workforce planning and hiring, and uphold the company’s commitment to quality and safety. You will shape operational strategy while still being willing to roll up your sleeves, visit job sites, and provide real-time guidance on project challenges.

Responsibilities

• Full oversight of construction operations across multiple civil and infrastructure projects
• Driving execution, schedule compliance, and cost performance
• Leading, developing, and holding accountable PMs, Superintendents, and field teams
• Workforce planning, recruiting, and building strong operational bench strength
• Implementing scalable processes, reporting standards, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensuring exceptional quality, safety, and customer satisfaction across all project portfolios
• Acting as a key member of the executive team, contributing to strategic growth planning

Required Experience

• Significant leadership experience within civil construction—roads, highways, bridges, earthworks, utilities, or large-scale site development
• Proven ability to run multi-project operations at scale
• Background with self-perform field execution and modern construction practices
• A leadership style grounded in accountability, mentorship, and operational discipline
• Experience bringing structure, process, and enterprise-level standards to a growing contractor
