Cory Executive Recruiting is seeking a Vice President of Operations for a national multifamily manager. The role is remote with travel, overseeing 12k units, building scalable SOPs, and leading 4 regional VPs.

You will drive profitability, operational excellence, and risk management across diverse assets. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in affordable multifamily operations, third-party management experience, and a proven ability to scale operational systems with strong P&L discipline.

• 10+ years of leadership in affordable multifamily operations.
• 3rd-party management experience; working with various clients.
• Ability to scale operational systems within growth-oriented environments.
• Execution-first leader comfortable on-site and in the boardroom.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in P&L accountability for high-value assets.

Responsibilities

• Manage portfolio performance (12k units), including budgets, staffing, operations, and asset performance.
• Develop scalable SOPs and KPIs to maintain asset consistency.
• Lead and mentor a team of 4 RVPs to instill a culture of service and accountability.
• Oversee systems and operations to ensure uptime and satisfaction.
• Partner with executives on capital planning and performance reporting.
• Lead transition planning and operational ramp-up for new acquisitions.
• Proactively identify and mitigate operational risks.
