Job summary

Avenue5 is seeking a Vice President, Property Management to lead the strategic direction for a diverse portfolio of multifamily properties and maximize client satisfaction and performance.

The VP will execute long-term and short-term plans, manage budgets and P&L, recruit and mentor teams, and collaborate with sales and operations to maximize revenue while maintaining service excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or preferred in a relevant field.
• Ten+ years in multi-family property management and senior client relationship experience.
• Two+ years in a Vice President role.
• CPM certification preferred.
• Five+ years with Yardi Voyager or equivalent system.
• Third-party/multifamily experience required.

Responsibilities

• Set strategic direction to maximize client satisfaction and revenue growth.
• Lead all aspects of client lifecycle including recruiting and mentoring associates.
• Act as strategic business partner to drive revenue for complex portfolios.
• Manage portfolio KPIs and annual budgets, P&L, and reporting to owners.
• Maintain expert knowledge of Avenue5 products and services to optimize delivery.
• Collaborate on RFPs/RFIs with sales and client services.

About the Vice President, Property Management Role

The vice president, property management creates the strategic direction for existing complex portfolio clients and partners to maximize client satisfaction. This role is responsible for growing assigned properties within the portfolio by leveraging the Avenue5 tools and technology to maximize performance results. The vice president operations will execute long- and short-term plans and directives by implementing judgement, vision, management and leadership.

Primary Responsibilities and Objectives

• Understand the client and company’s business objectives to ensure maximization and satisfaction of client accounts
• Responsible for full associate life cycle including recruiting, mentoring and performance management
• Serve as the strategic business partner responsible for revenue growth for complex clients and partners
• Responsible for achieving growth and operational KPI’s for portfolio clients
• Responsible for the properties annual budget, P&L statements, general ledger and creating necessary reports for the property owners and Avenue5 leadership
• Lead all aspects of the client relationship including communications, planning, education, and problem resolution
• Provide subject matter expertise to clients to ensure product utilization is optimal
• Understand the market landscape including pricing trends, competitor strengths and weaknesses, and client requirements
• Maintain an expert level knowledge and understanding of all Avenue5 products and services
• Assess revenue and profit potential for all properties and portfolio clients
• Lead special projects to support client development
• Collaborate on all RFP and RFI responses as related to assigned portfolio in conjunction with sales and client services
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

• High school diploma is required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Ten or more years of experience in multi-family property management is required
• Ten or more years of direct management experience is required
• Ten or more years of experience in managing, expanding and developing relationships with clients at a senior level is required
• Two or more years of experience in a Vice President role
• Third party, multifamily experience required
• CPM certification is preferred
• Participation in industry groups is preferred
• Five or more years of experience in Yardi Voyager or other equivalent system is required

• Strong understanding of property management industry trends, issues, and emerging technology
• Track record of accomplishments and high-impact results
• Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Intermediate to advanced level knowledge with MS Office Suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel (including Excel functions)
