Position Summary

Natera is a global leader in cell-free DNA testing focused on changing disease management in reproductive health, oncology, and organ transplantation. Signatera is a personalized, tumor-informed test for molecular residual disease (MRD) assessment and surveillance in patients previously diagnosed with cancer. It is covered by Medicare for colorectal, bladder, breast, ovarian, lung cancers, and immunotherapy response monitoring for solid tumors.

Role Overview

As the Vice President, Oncology Lifecycle Leader (GI), you will lead a team of Lifecycle Leaders to shape the vision and strategy for Natera’s oncology products in GI cancers. Your leadership will foster a cross-functional approach—collaborating with medical, sales, business development, and other teams—to position our products effectively and meet unmet needs in cancer care.

You will report directly to the VP of Oncology Lifecycle Management, own the GI disease area strategy, and make impactful decisions to maximize clinical and commercial success.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Own the lifecycle planning and success of GI cancers, developing and executing strategic plans to drive usage, awareness, and advocacy globally.
  • Expand Signatera access across GI tumors by prioritizing indications, owning evidence roadmaps, closing evidence gaps, and submitting for coverage.
  • Lead and inspire a team of 2-3 GI-specific Lifecycle Leaders, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
  • Set tumor-specific goals for the lifecycle team and across functions.
  • Serve as a key member on clinical/medical teams to define and prioritize indications and address evidence gaps.
  • Monitor performance and mitigate risks by tracking performance with marketing, and implementing strategies to address barriers to adoption.
  • Shape the value proposition in collaboration with Medical Affairs and Commercial Marketing, leveraging clinical evidence and market insights.
  • Present strategic plans and progress to executive leadership regularly.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or PhD preferred.
  • Strong preferred experience in GI oncology market.
  • 10-15 years in product marketing and market analytics within pharma/biotech.
  • Knowledge of oncology molecular testing and biomarkers.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25% for meetings and conferences.
Skills and Abilities
  • Leadership without authority, influencing and inspiring teams.
  • Strategic agility with an enterprise mindset and executive presence.
  • Strong collaboration skills across internal and external partners.
  • Customer-focused, establishing thought leader relationships.
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts simply.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills for multiple projects.
