About the Company
We're partnered with an investor-backed IT services company that provides managed IT, cybersecurity, cloud, and compliance services to mid-market organizations nationwide. The business has grown through a series of acquisitions, and unlike most platforms in its space, it has fully integrated every one of them into a single operating company with shared systems and clean data.
The company serves three specialized verticals, private equity portfolio companies, healthcare, and critical infrastructure, where complex, regulated environments make deep expertise a real differentiator. It is profitable, growing, and investing in its next phase: expanding cybersecurity, compliance, and AI services across its client base, deepening its vertical practices, and scaling its delivery model.
The Opportunity
This is an operating seat, not a staff role. Reporting jointly to the CEO and CFO, the Vice President of Strategic Initiatives will own and drive the company's most important cross-functional priorities. The role is intentionally broad. It suits a versatile business athlete with strong financial instincts who wants to own outcomes rather than advise on them.
You’ll keep the end state in mind, manage several initiatives at once, and make decisions through an ROI lens. You’ll work directly with founders, seasoned operators, engineers, sales leaders, customers, and investors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Strategic Business Initiatives: Take ownership of critical strategic projects from initial planning through implementation, with a focus on pricing strategies, service offerings, packaging, and expanding the company's AI services portfolio.
- Develop Executive Reporting & Insights: Create and implement KPI dashboards, performance tracking tools, and executive reporting processes to provide leadership with actionable business insights and support informed decision-making.
- Oversee Transaction & Capital Readiness: Coordinate preparation activities for potential future capital transactions, manage key readiness workstreams, and assist with acquisition due diligence and post-transaction integration or issue resolution.
- Advance Commercial Strategy: Establish greater structure and consistency across the advisory business by developing standardized service offerings, client‑facing materials, and pricing frameworks. Collaborate with growth leaders to develop and execute go‑to‑market strategies across individual industry verticals.
- Support Leadership Recruitment: Partner with executive leadership to identify, attract, and recruit high‑impact talent, including practice leaders responsible for launching and expanding new business verticals.
- Connect Strategy with Business Execution: Translate complex business analysis into clear strategic recommendations and actionable plans, ensuring priorities are effectively implemented across a dynamic and evolving organization.
- Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with leadership and teams across finance, operations, pricing, technology, and commercial functions to advance business objectives and improve overall performance.
Required Qualifications & Experience

Candidates who have transitioned from investment banking into operational leadership roles are also encouraged to apply.
- Strong financial expertise, with the ability to develop, evaluate, communicate, and defend financial models, business cases, and strategic investment recommendations.
- Demonstrated ownership mentality and execution-focused approach, with the ability to make sound decisions, take initiative, and deliver results in situations involving ambiguity or incomplete information.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and establish credibility with audiences at all organizational levels.
- Broad functional knowledge spanning financial management, commercial strategy, pricing, business operations, go-to-market execution, and technology.
