We are exclusively working with a leading FinTech Lending scale-up based in the US, headquartered in New York, and hiring remotely across the US. Founded in 2021, with over $145m in Series-A funding through private equity & VC, they are scaling to expand their product and market presence.

As VP of Engineering, you'll lead a team of 10 engineers with backgrounds from FAANG, Berkeley, Harvard, etc., aiming to double or triple the team by 2025. You will collaborate with global stakeholders, including the CTO, VP of Product, and VP of Design.

Responsibilities

1. Own and oversee all engineering operations, performance metrics, and operational efficiency.
2. Build, develop, and manage a rapidly growing engineering team.
3. Define technology strategies in collaboration with team leads and communicate effectively across the organization.
4. Solve problems, establish standards, and ensure quality adherence.
5. Promote a down-to-earth engineering culture focused on user impact and product delivery.
6. Foster leadership within the team and cultivate a culture of innovation and curiosity.

Qualifications

1. Aspiring to build a significant global business, understanding engineers' critical role.
2. 12+ years in modern engineering practices, leading high-performing organizations, overseeing 100+ engineers globally.
3. Strong computer science fundamentals and experience in scalable, resilient systems.
4. Proven track record in creating engineering strategies and delivering impactful results.
5. Excellent communication skills, capable of coaching engineers and product managers.
6. Ability to foster an inspiring, open team environment.
7. Flexibility to work across global time zones.
8. Experience in FinTech or AI is a plus.
