Job summary

Blacksmith Agency is seeking a Vice President of Sales for Multifamily to own the full lifecycle of large multi-location deals, from first meeting with ownership to signed contracts.

This is a remote, individual contributor seat across the USA and Canada, targeting multifamily owners and property management groups with portfolios that span many locations.

Your wins will come from strategic, multi-stakeholder negotiations, expanding services as groups sign and opening new locations.

Qualifications

• Track record of closing $1M+ annually on large, multi-location or enterprise accounts.
• Selling to multifamily groups or related multi-location buyers.
• Long consultative sales cycles with several decision makers.
• Prefer closing over managing people.

Responsibilities

• Full sales cycle ownership: discovery, proposal, negotiation, and close (3–12 months).
• Engage with owners, regional operators, and marketing leaders.
• Expand: add locations and services after a group signs.
• Collaborate on proposals with strategists and leadership.

No direct reports. This is an individual contributor seat going after strategic, multi-location multifamily accounts: large groups you open and close yourself.

About The Role

Blacksmith Agency is an AI-first digital agency running websites, SEO and paid media for multifamily owners and property management groups running large portfolios. As Vice President of Sales for Multifamily, you own our largest multi-location multifamily deals, from the first meeting with ownership to the signed contract. One win covers many locations, so each deal is large, multi-stakeholder and worth the work. Our sales development team and inbound put qualified meetings with these groups on your calendar, so your time goes to closing.

The Seat

• $2M annual quota, carried on a small number of large accounts.
• Leads fed to you: meetings with multifamily owners and property management groups running large portfolios, booked by our sales development team or inbound.
• No management. No team to build, hire or run.
• Strategic accounts: multifamily portfolios with many locations, where one signed deal covers the whole group and opens the next.

What You Will Own

• The full cycle on large deals: discovery, proposal, negotiation and close, over 3 to 12 months.
• Deals with owners, regional operators and marketing leaders all at the table.
• Expansion: more locations and more services once a group signs.
• Proposals built with our strategists and leadership for the deals that matter most.

What You Bring

• A record of closing $1M+ a year on large, multi-location or enterprise accounts.
• Selling into multifamily groups, or marketing and agency services to similar multi-location buyers.
• Long, consultative cycles with several decision makers. If your background is high-volume, single-location or one-call transactional sales, this is a different job.
• You would rather close business than manage people.
