Job summary

Lumicity in Buffalo, NY seeks a Vice President of Operations to scale a highly technical manufacturing organization, overseeing manufacturing, engineering, facilities, quality, supply chain, and operational development while collaborating with R&D, Sales, Marketing, and Finance.

The VP will lead facility expansion, equipment acquisition, construction projects, production scale-up, and team growth, with a trajectory toward COO as the company grows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Operations, or a related technical field; MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive manufacturing or operations leadership experience.
• Proven experience expanding manufacturing facilities and increasing capacity.
• Experience managing facility expansions, construction teams, capital projects, and equipment acquisition.
• Experience recruiting and developing engineering, manufacturing, and operational teams.
• Strong financial acumen including P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning.
• Experience cross-functionally with R&D, Engineering, Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing, Finance and Quality.
• Strong executive leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

The Vice President of Operations will be a senior executive responsible for scaling a highly technical manufacturing organization and building the infrastructure required for continued growth. This leader will oversee manufacturing, engineering, facilities, quality, supply chain, and operational development while working closely with R&D, Sales, Marketing, and Finance.

The VP will lead facility expansion, equipment acquisition, construction projects, production scale-up, and team growth, with a focus on increasing manufacturing capacity and supporting revenue growth. This position is also expected to evolve into a Chief Operating Officer (COO) role as the company continues to grow.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Operations, or a related technical field; MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive manufacturing or operations leadership experience.
• Proven experience expanding manufacturing facilities, increasing production capacity, and supporting revenue growth.
