Overview

Vice President of Operations. Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Vice President of Operations to join the team and take ownership of its business operations. The selected individual will help facilitate their continued growth by leading, building and managing functions that drive the company’s strategy and create long-term success. The Vice President of Operations will report to the Chief Executive Officer. They will have direct supervisory responsibility, and executive oversight of all organizational operational and growth functionality. We are looking for an operations executive who is an entrepreneurial, hands-on builder, and thoughtful leader to grow and manage its operations during this time of significant growth. A confident decision-maker, the selected individual has a proven track record of operational leadership in a technology company. The Vice President of Operations will begin as a remote position, with the intention that it will be office-based in the Boston metro in the future.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of the company, including product development, engineering, human resources and business development.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize organizational and operational efficiency to drive growth.
  • Focus on streamlining processes, enhancing operational efficiency, and fostering a culture of innovation to drive sustainable growth and profitability.
  • Oversee day-to-day growth operations from high-level strategy to local level issues.
  • Collaborate closely with the CEO to align operations with company vision and goals.
  • Closely collaborate with the business development team to align operational strategies with business development initiatives and goals.
  • Manage and optimize resource allocation across different departments and projects.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational performance.
  • Prepare regular reports for senior leadership.
  • Lead cross functional teams to drive innovation and improve processes.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Identify and mitigate operational risks and challenges.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Computer Science, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Ten years of experience in operations management, with at least five years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successful operation operational leadership in technology companies.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding leadership and team management abilities.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and performance metrics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in scaling operations for a rapidly growing tech startup.
