Role Description

The Vice-President of Manufacturing Operations will provide strategic and operational leadership across the company’s processing facilities, with a focus on efficiency, quality, and compliance. This part-time, remote role will oversee end-to-end manufacturing operations, establish performance metrics, and drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with industry best practices and international standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with plant leaders to optimize production plans, monitoring capacity and utilization, and ensuring adherence to safety, food quality, and certification requirements. The role will also coordinate closely with supply chain, quality assurance, and commercial teams to support demand forecasting, inventory management, and on-time delivery. The Vice-President will mentor local management, help define investment and technology priorities, and contribute to long-term manufacturing strategy for processed fruit and vegetable products.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong expertise in Manufacturing Operations and Manufacturing Operations Management, including experience in multi-plant or regional manufacturing environments.
• Candidates should possess skills in Operations Management and Operational Excellence, with a track record in lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Supply Chain Management, particularly in food processing, cold chain, and export-focused operations.
• Extensive leadership experience in food or beverage manufacturing, preferably with processed fruits and vegetables or related FMCG sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote capacity, collaborating across cultures and time zones.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with comfort using data and KPIs to drive performance.
• Knowledge of international food safety standards and certification frameworks (e.g., HACCP, ISO22000, BRC) is highly beneficial.
• Relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, operations, supply chain, or a related field is preferred.
