Zusammenfassung

5V Video is seeking a senior engineering leader to own the end-to-end strategy for the CPE estate, from silicon and ODM selection through firmware, middleware and cloud-managed WiFi, to field deployment and lifecycle management.

You’ll lead a multi-disciplinary organisation across embedded software, RF/WiFi, systems integration, test and DevOps, and work closely with Product, Network, Security and Operations leadership to deliver a better home connectivity experience at scale.

Qualifikationen

• Significant senior engineering leadership experience in CPE, broadband gateways, or connected-home devices.
• Experience shipping devices at scale through ODM/OEM partnerships.
• Familiarity with embedded Linux and open-source CPE frameworks.

You’ll own the end-to-end engineering strategy for the CPE estate, from silicon and ODM selection through firmware, middleware and cloud-managed WiFi, to field deployment and lifecycle management. You’ll lead a multi-disciplinary organisation across embedded software, RF/WiFi, systems integration, test and DevOps, and work closely with Product, Network, Security and Operations leadership to deliver a better home connectivity experience at scale.

What you’ll be responsible for

• Setting the technical vision and multi-year roadmap for CPE and home WiFi, including WiFi 7 adoption, mesh, and the path toward next-generation standards.
• Leading and growing a team of engineering managers and senior technical specialists, building a high-performance, accountable engineering culture.
• Owning relationships with chipset vendors, ODMs and software partners, including platform selection, commercial input and delivery governance.
• Driving the software stack strategy across RDK-B, prplOS/OpenWrt or proprietary platforms, plus TR-069/TR-369 (USP) device management.
• Delivering measurable improvements in WiFi performance, device stability, security posture and customer-reported experience, while reducing field returns and support cost.
• Representing engineering at executive level, owning budget, headcount planning and reporting on delivery against business goals.

What we’re looking for

• Significant senior engineering leadership experience in CPE, broadband gateways, set-top boxes or connected-home devices, ideally within a telco, ISP or major vendor.
• Deep understanding of WiFi technologies (802.11ax/be, mesh, EasyMesh, band steering, RF optimisation) and broadband access (DOCSIS, xPON, FWA).
• A track record of shipping devices at scale through ODM/OEM partnerships and managing complex vendor ecosystems.
• Experience leading leaders, with credibility both in the boardroom and in a deep technical review.
• Familiarity with embedded Linux, open-source CPE frameworks and cloud-based device analytics.
