  • Pay Range (national): $123,000 - $155,000 USD. Final offer will be adjusted based on market rate criteria of your specific years experience, skillset, qualifications, and geographic location.

OUR NEED

We seek a visionary leader to guide our Development, Operations, and Marketing teams into the next phase of growth and impact. This role is key in cultivating donor relationships, expanding our national reach, and elevating our fundraising, marketing, and donor engagement strategies to drive sustainable revenue growth. You will work closely with the CEO, COO, and Board to align external communications and funding efforts with our mission of economic empowerment and environmental restoration. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in securing major gifts, leading multi-channel campaigns, and overseeing marketing and communication teams in mission-driven organizations. This is a unique leadership opportunity for a strategic, results-oriented, and relational leader experienced in guiding nonprofits through growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Organizational Strategy and Leadership
  • Contribute to organization-wide strategy and culture as part of the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Collaborate with the CEO, COO, and Board to set revenue and brand goals aligned with our mission.
  • Represent Plant With Purpose to donors, partners, and external audiences.
  • Partner with global colleagues and the International Programs Team to strengthen in-country fundraising capacity.
Fundraising Strategy & Donor Development
  • Develop and oversee a multi-year revenue growth strategy with cross-functional teams.
  • Coach and lead high-performing development teams, including major gifts, foundation grants, and donor experience.
  • Deepen donor engagement through trips, events, and stewardship pathways.
  • Foster a donor-centered culture emphasizing relationship-building and spiritual alignment.
Marketing & Innovation
  • Oversee marketing strategy to support organizational growth and impact goals.
  • Manage national and international branding, public relations, and church engagement initiatives.
  • Ensure consistency and quality across all external communications and creative assets.
  • Provide insights on audience segmentation, messaging, and innovation.
Development Operations & Systems
  • Lead and coach the Development Operations Team to ensure high-quality data, systems, and infrastructure.
  • Maintain oversight of grant systems, CRM (Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud), and logistics.
  • Improve prospecting, revenue forecasting, segmentation, and local fundraising strategies.
  • Collaborate on dashboarding and reporting for internal and external audiences.
Team Leadership & Culture
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of five management leaders across development, operations, and marketing.
  • Foster a culture of belonging, collaboration, spiritual vitality, and excellence.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

This role requires approximately 4-6 domestic trips annually, with the possibility of one international trip, which may involve challenging conditions.

WHAT WE’LL LOVE ABOUT YOU

Minimum Education & Experience: BA in Marketing, Fund Development, Business Administration, or related field; 10+ years in fundraising and marketing; 5+ years at senior management level with cross-functional leadership; proven success in securing major gifts and leading large organizations.

Required Skills: Exceptional leadership, strategic fundraising and marketing success, excellent communication, financial acumen, and ability to foster cross-functional collaboration.

Preferred Skills: International or cross-cultural experience, proficiency with Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud, established philanthropic networks.
