GS2 | B Corp™ seeks a Vice President of Data Center Operations to own the end-to-end strategy, reliability, and scaling of Northern Virginia facilities. You will report to executives and lead facilities engineering, operations, and technical teams to maintain 100% uptime across multi-megawatt campuses.

This executive role focuses on rapid capacity growth, AI-density cooling projects, and modernization of cooling/power infrastructure to meet client needs and market dynamics.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in mission-critical facilities operations.
• Deep expertise in electrical distribution, UPS, chillers, and cooling tech.
• Proven track record leading multi-facility footprints in major markets.
• Experience scaling operations amid rapid capacity growth and AI deployments.
• Strong business acumen with budget control and client engagement.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily operations, reliability, and maintenance across the Northern Virginia campus.
• Lead teams to deploy advanced cooling, BMS/SCADA, and high-density power distribution.
• Mentor regional Directors, Facilities Managers, and engineering staff.
• Enforce MOP and EOP standards to guarantee uptime.
• Own multi-million-dollar OpEx/CapEx budgets and vendor contracts.
• Oversee audits, FedRAMP/SOC 2/ISO compliance, and SLA delivery.

Vice President of Data Center Operations

Location: Northern Virginia (Prince William County - Hybrid/Onsite)

Compensation: $300,000 - $400,000 + Bonus

About the Role

As the Vice President of Data Center Operations, you will own the end to end operational strategy, reliability, and scaling of our critical facilities footprint in Northern Virginia the world's most dynamic data center market. Reporting directly to executive leadership, you will lead high performing facilities engineering, operations, and technical teams to maintain 100% uptime across multi-megawatt facilities.

This is a high visibility, executive leadership role designed for an operational innovator capable of managing rapid capacity growth, high-density AI infrastructure deployments, and continuous cooling/power modernization.

What You'll Lead

• Direct daily operations, critical infrastructure reliability, and mechanical/electrical maintenance protocols across our Northern Virginia campus.
• Partner with engineering teams to deploy next-generation direct-to-chip liquid cooling, modern BMS/SCADA platforms, and high-density power distribution.
• Manage, build, and mentor regional Directors, Critical Facilities Managers, and operational engineering staff.
• Enforce strict Method of Procedure (MOP) and Emergency Operating Procedure (EOP) standards to guarantee zero unplanned downtime.
• Own multi-million-dollar OpEx/CapEx budgets, vendor contracts, and utility management strategies.
• Oversee site audits, FedRAMP/SOC 2/ISO compliance, and customer SLA delivery for enterprise and cloud clients.

What our client is looking for:

• 10+ years ofprogressive experience in mission-critical facilities operations
• Deep expertise managing high-voltage electrical distribution, UPS networks, chillers, and advanced cooling technologies.
• Proven track record leading multi-facility footprints in major markets (Northern Virginia market experience strongly preferred).
• Demonstrated experience scaling operations through massive capacity additions (AI density/liquid cooling experience is a major plus).
• Strong business acumen, budget control, and high-stakes client engagement capability.
