Job description

Description: Acara Solutions is seeking a Vice President of Audit and Compliance to join our client on a Full Time Direct Hire opportunity located in Anaheim, CA.

Pay Rate: $136K to $213K

Hybrid Work Schedule: 2 days in office - 3 days from home

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with CFO and Management on risk management and audit engagements.
  • Oversee ERM program implementation and compliance.
  • Chair the Enterprise Risk Management Committee.
  • Lead the Compliance Department focusing on BSA / AML and various regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with the VM Policy and platform.
  • Lead the IA Department and execute a risk-based IA plan.
  • Manage annual CPA opinion audit and regulatory examinations.
  • Conduct internal investigations with IA.
  • Develop and oversee the BC program and disaster recovery tests.
Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:

  • 5 years' minimum experience in financial institution auditing or examination.
  • 3 years minimum experience in risk and vendor management.
  • 5 years minimum at the management level.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

  • Experience in credit unions or financial services.
  • Familiarity with The Institute of Internal Auditors' standards.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and laws (GAAP, GAAS, Federal Banking Laws, etc.).
  • Experience with COSO frameworks, BSA / AML, and Fraud & Loss Mitigation.
  • Knowledge of business continuity and data governance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
  • Ability to interpret regulations and laws.
  • Understanding of risk areas in depository institutions.
