Job summary

The MarketPlace Ltd. invites applications for a Vice President, Merchandising to lead the company’s merchandising strategy and drive category performance, assortment, pricing, supplier partnerships, and inventory productivity.

The successful candidate will partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance and store leadership to deliver sustainable growth, optimize profitability, and elevate customer value through proven senior merchandising leadership in grocery or food retail.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of senior leadership experience in merchandising or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
• Progressive leadership in merchandising, buying, or category management within grocery/food retail or related industry.
• Strong track record in category P&L management, supplier negotiations, inventory optimization, and team leadership.
• Experience in international sourcing, import-dependent retail, private label, or fresh-food merchandising is desirable.

The successful candidate will lead the company’s merchandising strategy, driving category performance, product assortment, pricing, supplier partnerships, and inventory productivity to support sustainable, profitable growth and exceptional customer value.

A bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.

Candidates should possess progressive leadership experience in merchandising, buying, or category management within grocery, supermarket, food retail, or a related industry.

A strong track record in category P&L management, supplier negotiations, inventory optimization, and team leadership is essential.

Experience in international sourcing, import-dependent retail, private label, or fresh-food merchandising is highly desirable.
