Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly strategic and results-oriented Vice President of Marketing Performance. This role will focus on driving consistency in performance, optimizing campaigns, and ensuring operational excellence across all marketing activities. It is a highly hands-on role that requires a deep understanding of digital and performance marketing.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned, results-driven leader with proven experience in setting and driving KPIs, developing and executing integrated marketing strategies, and leading teams to adopt the right platforms, tactics, and processes for success. This leader must be a trusted partner to the CMO—digitally and operationally focused—helping execute the vision while constantly pushing for efficiency, scalability, and measurable impact. They will be instrumental in optimizing processes, refining content strategies, allowing the team to adopt new technologies that enhance efficiency and performance—and delivering on the organization's goals in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

The ideal candidate will have deep digital and performance marketing expertise, with a strong background in driving consistent results within dynamic, high-growth environments, especially in pharma marketing or SaaS spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Marketing team to develop and execute high-impact, performance-driven marketing strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Drive alignment across marketing and sales teams on Total Addressable Market (TAM) and funnel-based approaches to maximize the collection of first-party data, lead generation, and conversion at every stage of the funnel.
  • Create and execute comprehensive marketing roadmaps, ensuring clear ownership, accountability, and measurable deadlines for success.

Operational Excellence:

  • Establish and manage KPIs through a scorecard approach to ensure consistent and measurable demonstration of marketing performance (e.g., lead generation, demand creation, conversion rates, and event attendance).
  • Develop and refine processes to streamline marketing campaigns and workflows for scalability and efficiency, ensuring cross-functional collaboration.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Business Owners, Sales, Education, Customer Experience) to ensure seamless execution of marketing initiatives.

Performance Marketing & Digital Excellence:

  • Lead the development and optimization of marketing attribution models in collaboration with the BI team to maximize ROI.
  • Ensure continuous improvement in digital marketing tactics (e.g., SEM, SEO, paid social) and oversee performance analytics to optimize campaign effectiveness.
  • Partner with content leads to integrate clinically relevant, packaged content into the marketing and sales funnel, ensuring appropriate targeting and timing for maximum impact.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Work directly with the CMO to translate high-level business goals into actionable and measurable marketing initiatives and develop execution plans for the team.
  • Drive the adoption of critical technologies, platforms, and tools to ensure that marketing processes run efficiently and effectively.
  • Ensure strong collaboration with business leads and across departments (Sales, Product, Project Management, CX) to support Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies, ensuring seamless execution across the organization.

Operational Process & Framework Development:

  • Lead the development of SOPs and standard frameworks to support marketing operations, continuously optimizing them for better performance, speed, and scalability.
  • Identify areas where automation and new technologies can drive operational improvements and work with the Data team to ensure the adoption of automation and automated reporting across the marketing team.
  • Update and improve key processes regularly, ensuring the marketing team always leverages best practices and works with the latest tools.

Growth:

  • Develop and refine strategies with the CMO and business unit marketers to increase average revenue per customer and customer lifetime value (CLTV), ensuring marketing efforts are directly tied to revenue growth.
  • Monitor customer retention and loyalty through targeted marketing programs, ensuring high-impact campaigns encouraging repeat engagement and long-term relationships.

Reporting & Analytics:

  • Working with the CMO and Data Team, establish and manage comprehensive reporting systems to track marketing campaigns, events, and overall performance effectiveness.
  • Provide regular performance insights to senior leadership, focusing on opportunities for optimization and growth.
  • Use data to adjust strategies and ensure marketing tactics continually improve for maximum ROI and alignment with business goals.

Growth & Scalability:

  • Identify opportunities to scale marketing initiatives, refine processes, and implement innovative technologies to ensure continuous improvement and efficiency across the team.
  • Along with CMO and MarTech lead, focus on optimizing the marketing tech stack to enhance the team’s ability to execute campaigns quickly and effectively.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Revenue Growth: Impact on revenue generation through optimizing the funnel and campaign performance.
  • Event Attendance: Growth in event attendance, with strategies that drive both the quantity and quality of attendees and repeat attendees.
  • Product Revenue: Revenue growth from new product launches supported by marketing.
  • Marketing ROI: Measure and optimize the return on marketing investments (ROMI) for key campaigns, ensuring spend is aligned with revenue outcomes.
  • Lead Generation & Conversion: Track the quality and volume of leads generated, ensuring conversion rates improve across all channels.
  • Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC): Continuously work to reduce CAC through funnel efficiency and optimized resource allocation.
  • Customer Lifetime Value (CLTV): Measure the increase in customer retention, loyalty, and average revenue per customer (ARPC) resulting from marketing programs.
  • Platform Adoption: Ensure the adoption, consistent use, and continued progression of key platforms and marketing technologies, ensuring the team fully utilizes them for performance and greater efficiency.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Measure the effectiveness of collaboration between marketing, sales, product, and other business functions to ensure cohesive execution.
  • Operational Efficiency: Track the performance of marketing operations, including time-to-market for campaigns, process improvements, and team productivity.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Experience:

  • 10+ years of marketing experience focusing on performance, operations, and digital marketing in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
  • Proven expertise in SaaS marketing, including managing TAM-based funnels and driving digital performance across all stages.
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience managing global teams and driving marketing initiatives directly impacting revenue growth and customer retention.
  • Expertise in CRM, marketing automation tools, analytics, reporting platforms, and product and event marketing.
  • Ability to develop and execute high-performing, data-driven marketing strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Strong track record of leading cross-functional teams and driving collaboration with other departments to execute successful campaigns and programs.

Operational Excellence:

  • Expertise in project management and process optimization, with the ability to build and refine operational frameworks, SOPs, and workflows.
  • Proven experience in improving marketing performance through the adoption of new technologies and the streamlining of internal processes.
  • Strong background in reporting, dashboard creation, and using data to guide decisions and improve performance.

Communication & Influence:

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present complex data and insights clearly and compellingly to executive leadership and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to influence and align teams across departments, ensuring precise and consistent execution of marketing strategies.

Qualifications:
