The Vice President of Marketing and GTM for NTT Global Data Centers is a strategic leadership role, accountable for driving global marketing initiatives and developing effective GTM strategies for the business as a whole. This person will work closely with the SVP of global marketing, acting as the 2nd in command to support all aspects of marketing strategy and execution. This role requires a dynamic individual with deep expertise in multiple marketing disciplines, as well as a broad business strategy mindset to develop well-defined quantitative GTM analyses and solutions.
This role will oversee a high-performing global marketing team, with resources in every region. Responsible for collaborating with sales and product teams, to deliver integrated marketing campaigns that enhance brand visibility, create opportunities with new clients for sales teams, and accelerate growth as an industry leader and drive long-term business success.
What you'll be doing
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and manage a high performing global field marketing team, providing direction, mentorship and support of global field marketing managers to develop and execute marketing programs in support of region sales goals.
Oversee regional marketing plans and ensure tailored approaches to marketing that deliver ROI and opportunity creation for sales team in each respective region.
Work closely with global campaigns team to deliver global programs into regions that showcase the company’s data center leadership and drive both awareness and prospect engagement.
Collaborate closely with global region heads to develop marketing programs that support sales efforts and drive incremental growth and acceleration of business globally.
Manage global budget and spending to ensure high level results and maximum efficiency of marketing spending that delivers measurable results.
Champion brand positioning and messaging by promoting NTT global data centers as the 3rd largest data center provider globally and amplifying both the internal and external positioning.
Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies that drive business growth and overall positioning of NTT global data centers as we create better positioning and alignment of all business units to capture data center growth in multiple customer segments.
Identify and build a GTM team to support ongoing GTM projects and research, providing the executive leadership quantitative analyses and guidelines for how the data center business can grow and expand.
Monitor industry trends, competitor activities and market conditions, adapting marketing strategies as needed to drive sustainable growth, while also acting as the feedback loop to the business for how market conditions vary by region.
KNOWLEDGE & ATTRIBUTES
Must have a strong track record of managing large teams, a data-driven mindset, and the ability to adapt to rapidly changing market conditions with the ability to focus on innovation and customer-centric strategies:
Extensive experience in managing global marketing teams, with a proven track record of managing cross-functional teams and executing successful field marketing campaigns.
Experience with integrated marketing campaigns, including digital marketing, events, content creation and more, with the ability to oversee management of a large number of marketing activities simultaneously while still ensuring ROI.
Creative marketer with big ideas, who can continuously push the envelope of what can be done in marketing and break the norms of marketing in the data center industry.
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the capability to develop and execute GTM strategies that align with key business objectives and drive growth in competitive markets and industries.
Exceptional communication and cross-functional management skills, with the ability to work with executives and teams with diverse global backgrounds and different cultural norms.
Strong understanding of the data center industry, with focus on client needs, competitor positioning and overall market conditions that are affected the data center industry today.
Knowledge of customer segmentation and buyer personas in the data center industry, with proven ability to tailor marketing strategies to meet the unique needs of different regions and buyer segments.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field required. (MBA preferred.)
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Minimum 15+ years experience in marketing and related business fields.
Experience managing teams and directly managing employee development.
Experience working with global teams and managing teams in multiple time zones.
Experience with technical marketing tools and creative tools to develop marketing programs and content.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Operate computer, peripherals, and other office equipment.
Ability to work remotely to complete work assignments.
WORK CONDITIONS & OTHER REQUIREMENTS
This is a remote position and can be located anywhere.
Must be within 1-hour of a major airport.
Travel required up to 50% of time.
Perform work from a remote location with stable internet connection.
This is a remote position that requires reliable internet connection and electricity. A monthly stipend is provided to cover expenses associated with working remotely and use of a personal mobile device, if applicable.
NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc. offers competitive compensation based on experience, education, and location. Base salary for this position is $225,000 - $322,500.
All regular full-time employees are eligible for an annual bonus; payout is dependent upon individual and company performance.
