Job description

The VP of Marketing will serve as a strategic executive leader, overseeing all aspects of our global or regional marketing engine. This includes product marketing for API and fintech solutions, enterprise B2B demand generation, developer relations (B2D), and corporate communications. The ideal candidate possesses deep fintech or B2B SaaS experience, a strong technical understanding of open finance ecosystems, and a proven track record of scaling marketing operations from early-stage growth to mature enterprise expansion.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & GTM Execution
  • Design and execute the overarching marketing strategy aligned with the company’s revenue, product, and expansion goals.
  • Own the corporate positioning and messaging architecture, ensuring it resonates with enterprise financial institutions, agile fintech builders, and developer communities.
  • Drive market expansion strategies into new geographic territories and industry verticals (e.g., lending, retail banking, wealth management, insurance).
Product Marketing & Technical Messaging
  • Lead product marketing initiatives to translate complex data-sharing protocols, API architecture, and compliance frameworks into clear, compelling value propositions.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management to influence the product roadmap based on market intelligence, customer feedback, and competitive analysis.
  • Oversee the creation of technical marketing collateral, case studies, whitepapers, and sales enablement toolkits.
Demand Generation & Developer Adoption
  • Architect and optimize a predictable multi-channel inbound and outbound demand generation engine, utilizing Account-Based Marketing (ABM) for enterprise bank clients.
  • Partner with developer relations teams to drive organic adoption, engagement, and advocacy within developer communities and tech ecosystems.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure, analyze, and optimize customer acquisition costs (CAC), lifetime value (LTV), and pipeline velocity.
Brand, Communications & Regulatory Compliance
  • Elevate corporate visibility through strategic public relations (PR), analyst relations (e.g., Gartner, Forrester), thought leadership, and high-impact industry event presence.
  • Ensure all marketing communications rigidly adhere to regional open banking frameworks, consumer data right (CDR) mandates, and local compliance regulations (such as PSD2/PSD3, Dodd-Frank Section 1033, or equivalent regional financial rules).
  • Manage crisis communication strategies and uphold data privacy and trust initiatives as a central tenant of the brand.
Team Development & Operational Excellence
  • Recruit, mentor, and scale a world-class, high-performing marketing organization encompassing growth, product, content, design, and operations.
  • Direct and optimize the global marketing budget, maintaining accountability for marketing-sourced and marketing-influenced revenue targets.
  • Implement and manage a cutting-edge marketing tech stack (CRM, marketing automation, attribution tools) to ensure clean data and clear ROI tracking.
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience: 10+ years of progressive B2B marketing experience, with 5+ years in a senior leadership role (VP or Head of Marketing) within the FinTech, Open Finance, B2B SaaS, or API infrastructure sectors.
  • Industry Acumen: Deep operational knowledge of the financial services landscape, payment rails, API business models, and technical developer ecosystems.
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success scaling a fintech or enterprise SaaS company through key growth milestones (e.g., Series B through IPO or major enterprise market expansion).
  • Analytical & Technical Mastery: Data-driven mindset with advanced experience leveraging marketing automation (HubSpot, Marketo) and CRMs (Salesforce) to track multi-touch attribution and revenue impact.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate highly technical concepts effortlessly to both C-level banking executives and developers.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is highly preferred.
