As a Senior Lead Infrastructure Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Corporate Sector – Infrastructure Platforms, you apply deep knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. You will continue to evolve your technical and cross-functional knowledge outside of your aligned domain of expertise, driving meaningful impact across platforms, systems, and teams at enterprise scale.
Apply technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate-to-high scope, executing creative solutions for design, development, and technical troubleshooting for problems of moderate-to-high complexity
This role is part of Storage SRE team and requires expert knowledge on Storage technologies like Powerflex, PURE, Powermax and Solidfire.
Hands on experience in Iscsi, TCP/IP, NVMe storage products.
Good knowledge on Object products like Storagegrid and file products like Ontap and Isilon are preferred.
Need to be part of 24/7 follow the sun model to support storage infrastructure.
Good knowledge of Incident management, Change management and Problem management is needed for this role.
Good Knowledge on Linux/ESX compute environment is a plus for the role.
Drive workstreams or projects consisting of one or more infrastructure engineering technologies, working with other platforms to architect and implement changes required to resolve issues and modernize the organization and technology processes
Strongly consider upstream and downstream data, systems, and technical implications, and advise on mitigation actions to protect resiliency and performance across enterprise infrastructure platforms
Apply reuse-first, AI-assisted practices within delivery and automation routines to identify recurring issues and validate remediation options, ensuring changes are traceable, auditable, and aligned to resiliency and security expectations
Collaborate across engineering and product teams to architect scalable, resilient infrastructure solutions that support business-critical platforms and services at firm‑wide scale
Serve as a senior technical resource and subject matter expert, providing guidance and direction to engineers and cross‑functional partners on infrastructure design and delivery best practices
Formal training or certification on infrastructure engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
Deep knowledge of one or more areas of infrastructure engineering such as hardware, networking, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, or performance assessments
Deep knowledge of one specific infrastructure technology and scripting languages
Deep knowledge of enterprise storage products is a mandatory requirement for this role.
Demonstrated experience using enterprise‑authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to support infrastructure engineering workflows, with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity
Ability to review and validate AI-assisted recommendations before implementation, escalating when uncertain and ensuring outcomes align to resiliency, security, and auditability expectations
Ability to tackle design and infrastructure problems independently with little to no oversight
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence technical direction across engineering and cross‑functional teams
Experience working in large-scale, highly regulated financial services or enterprise technology environments
Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools and modern DevOps or site reliability engineering practices
Experience with performance engineering, capacity planning, or infrastructure observability and monitoring tooling
Demonstrated ability to influence technical direction and drive cross‑functional alignment across engineering and platform teams
Prior experience operating within or contributing to enterprise‑wide infrastructure platforms supporting a global organization
