Job description

Your expertise in infrastructure engineering has the power to shape how one of the world's leading financial institutions operates at scale — and this is your opportunity to do exactly that. At JPMorganChase, we invest in our engineers, offering access to cutting-edge technology, enterprise-scale challenges, and a culture that values continuous learning and cross-functional collaboration. If you are ready to bring your deep technical knowledge to a team where your contributions directly influence platform resilience, performance, and innovation, we want to hear from you.

As a Senior Lead Infrastructure Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Corporate Sector – Infrastructure Platforms, you apply deep knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. You will continue to evolve your technical and cross-functional knowledge outside of your aligned domain of expertise, driving meaningful impact across platforms, systems, and teams at enterprise scale.

Job responsibilities
  • Apply technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate-to-high scope, executing creative solutions for design, development, and technical troubleshooting for problems of moderate-to-high complexity
  • Drive workstreams or projects consisting of one or more infrastructure engineering technologies, working with other platforms to architect and implement changes required to resolve issues and modernize the organization and technology processes
  • Strongly consider upstream and downstream data, systems, and technical implications, and advise on mitigation actions to protect resiliency and performance across enterprise infrastructure platforms
  • Apply reuse-first, AI-assisted practices within delivery and automation routines to identify recurring issues and validate remediation options, ensuring changes are traceable, auditable, and aligned to resiliency and security expectations
  • Use enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate infrastructure analysis and design documentation, validating outputs and handling operational data according to sensitivity and security requirements
  • Collaborate across engineering and product teams to architect scalable, resilient infrastructure solutions that support business-critical platforms and services at firm-wide scale
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of infrastructure standards, automation practices, and operational processes, influencing peers and technical teams across the organization
  • Serve as a senior technical resource and subject matter expert, providing guidance and direction to engineers and cross-functional partners on infrastructure design and delivery best practices
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Formal training or certification on infrastructure engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Deep knowledge of one or more areas of infrastructure engineering such as hardware, networking, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, or performance assessments
  • Deep knowledge of one specific infrastructure technology and scripting languages
  • Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud technologies, with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private cloud environments
  • Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to support infrastructure engineering workflows, with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity
  • Ability to review and validate AI-assisted recommendations before implementation, escalating when uncertain and ensuring outcomes align to resiliency, security, and auditability expectations
  • Ability to tackle design and infrastructure problems independently with little to no oversight
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence technical direction across engineering and cross-functional teams
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Experience working in large-scale, highly regulated financial services or enterprise technology environments
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools and modern DevOps or site reliability engineering practices
  • Experience with performance engineering, capacity planning, or infrastructure observability and monitoring tooling
  • Demonstrated ability to influence technical direction and drive cross-functional alignment across engineering and platform teams
  • Prior experience operating within or contributing to enterprise-wide infrastructure platforms supporting a global organization
