Vice President - Infrastructure Investments

Position Overview:

The Vice President of StepStone Group Real Assets LP (“SIRA”), located in the New York office, will primarily focus on SIRA’s infrastructure and real assets strategy. Responsibilities include working with the global SIRA team on manager coverage and relationship development, originating and leading the execution of investment opportunities, and supporting client business development and asset management.

Essential Job Functions:
  1. Develop SIRA’s infrastructure and real assets business in collaboration with Partners and Principals globally.
  2. Participate in infrastructure manager coverage in the Americas, including:
  • Manager meetings, relationship development, and market monitoring
  • Conduct primary fund/manager due diligence and prepare memorandums.
  • Manage or lead investment origination and execution, including:
    • Co-investments with managers and other financial investors, developing strong relationships with investment partners
    • Secondary investments in funds
  • Support client management and business development activities, including:
    • Regular meetings with clients and prospects
    • Presentation of investment opportunities and solutions
    • Assisting with asset management as needed
  • Oversee training and development of Analysts and Associates.
  • Qualifications:
    • 7+ years of experience in banking, asset management, or consulting, with recent focus on infrastructure investments.
    • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Finance, Engineering, Economics, or related fields.
    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Proven ability to lead investment origination, execution, and asset management activities, including underwriting and project management of due diligence.
    • Strong research and evaluation skills for potential investment opportunities and subsectors.
    • Ability to construct and defend investment arguments verbally and in writing, including in IC meetings.
    • Relationships with infrastructure managers and sector knowledge.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel, with the ability to develop complex financial models.
