Overview

We are seeking a Vice President of IT Operations and Infrastructure focused on Cloud Infrastructure, IT systems, and Information Security. As a technology leader, the right candidate will oversee enterprise-wide infrastructure, operations, and cybersecurity in a multi-cloud, multi-entity environment. Our client is a leader in the Insurance vertical with focus on Property and Casualty Insurance. This role combines strategic vision with hands-on execution, ensuring reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of security and compliance. Candidates with direct experience in similar Insurance and financial services verticals will merit first consideration.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement observability and reliability practices with strong SLO/SLI frameworks, monitoring, and automated remediation.
• Lead DevSecOps adoption, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible, Helm), and Kubernetes-based container strategies.
• Oversee IT service management, service desk, and end-user technology, ensuring seamless support and collaboration tools.
• Ensure 24/7 operational continuity with disaster recovery, capacity planning, and incident management.
• Standardize and scale technology platforms across new entities post-integration.
• Establish KPIs around uptime, MTTR, SLA adherence, cost optimization, and security posture.

Required Technology and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive IT leadership, including senior roles in infrastructure and operations.

Compensation

The target range for base salary is $225,000 – $240,000 with a 30% bonus.
