We’re excited to be partnering exclusively with a high-growth, pre-IPO biotech company in the Bay Area that’s redefining innovation in the life sciences space. They’re now seeking a Vice President of Human Resources to join their executive team and play a key role in shaping the company’s people strategy during a critical stage of growth.

About the Role:

As the VP of HR, you’ll lead the full spectrum of Human Resources functions including talent strategy, organizational design, performance management, employee engagement, and leadership development. This is a high-impact, hands-on role requiring close collaboration with the C-suite and department heads to scale a mission-driven culture and support business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a people strategy aligned with the company’s growth trajectory and values
  • Partner closely with executive leadership to provide strategic HR guidance and thought leadership
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing HR team
  • Oversee HR operations, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, and total rewards
  • Support organizational change and ensure scalability of processes and culture through key inflection points
  • Contribute to DE&I and culture-building initiatives

What We're Looking For:

  • 12+ years of progressive HR leadership experience in biotech, pharma, or high-growth tech/life sciences
  • Proven experience working with executive teams and boards
  • Background in building and scaling HR in a growing or pre-IPO environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a strategic, business-oriented mindset
  • Comfortable working onsite 3 days/week in the Bay Area
