Job summary

Solutions Driven is assisting with the recruitment of a VP of Human Resources for a global technology business based in Orlando, Florida. The role sits on the Senior Leadership Team and will shape the people function into a strategic driver of performance.

The candidate will lead organisation design, leadership development, succession planning, and cross-site integration across the US, Germany, and China with a small US/China team in place, while reporting to the President.

Qualifications

• Must have turned a people function into a strategic business partner, working with a CEO/President.
• Experience in manufacturing, engineering or technical B2B businesses, ideally smaller standalone organisations.
• Multinational HR leadership across dispersed teams and cultures, supporting blue and white collar populations.

A global technology business is looking for a VP of Human Resources to take its people function from engagement and operational HR into a strategic driver of performance.

Our client is a long-established leader in their field, with around 200 people across the US, Europe and Asia. The business is a decentralised autonomous business with pace and ability to make impact with the backing of a much larger group.

The culture is strong and the workforce highly engaged. The next phase of growth needs sharper performance management, clearer accountability at leadership level and a talent pipeline built for scale.

Reporting to the President and sitting on the Senior Leadership Team, you’ll lead:

• Organisation design and workforce planning
• Leadership development, executive coaching and succession planning
• Performance management and accountability
• People integration across sites in the US, Germany and China

You’ll inherit a small team across the US and China and shape how the function grows from there.

What we’re looking for:

• An HR executive who has turned a people function into a strategic business partner, working directly with a CEO or President
• Experience in manufacturing, engineering or technical B2B businesses, ideally smaller or standalone organisations
• Multinational HR leadership across dispersed teams and cultures, supporting both blue and white collar populations
• Commercial acumen, and the credibility to challenge senior leaders constructively
• Confidence using data, HR technology and AI to improve how an organisation works

The President wants someone hungry, humble and people smart, who can balance empathy with accountability and protect a culture that already works.

The role is based in Orlando, Florida. It’s mainly office-based, with international travel. We’d like to hear from people already in the area or willing to relocate.
