Position Summary

The Vice President of Health & Wellness is a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing resident care strategies and health & wellness standards across all assisted living communities. This role provides strategic leadership, clinical oversight, and operational support to a team of Divisional Directors of Health & Wellness to ensure the delivery of exceptional care, regulatory compliance, and consistent implementation of resident service initiatives.

  • Provide leadership, direction, and oversight to Divisional Directors of Health & Wellness.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor clinical and resident service standards, policies, and procedures to ensure consistent, high-quality care and service delivery.
  • Evaluate health and wellness programs and outcomes and implement improvements aligned with company objectives and industry best practices.
  • Ensure branches meet all state and federal regulatory compliance requirements, including training, documentation, assessments, and care planning.
  • Collaborate with Executive Directors and branch-based Health & Wellness Directors to support strong clinical operations and resident satisfaction.
  • Serve as the primary clinical leader and escalation point for complex resident health situations, audits, and surveys.
  • Partner with Branch Support to recruit, retain, train, and evaluate Divisional Directors of Health & Wellness and support ongoing clinical education initiatives across all branches.
  • Analyze clinical metrics and data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement across the organization.
  • Provide on-site support, training, and guidance to communities, including survey preparation, new branch openings, and leadership transitions as needed.
  • Maintain current knowledge of assisted living industry standards, state regulations, and best practices in senior healthcare.
  • Leverage health technology platforms—including EHRs, fall detection systems, remote monitoring tools, and AI-driven dashboards—to drive proactive care interventions and improve clinical outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree in Nursing, Health Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Active RN license in at least one of the states served (multi-state licensure preferred).
  • Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive leadership experience in senior living, long-term care, or assisted living settings.
  • Proven experience managing clinical teams across multiple locations or regions.
  • Strong knowledge of assisted living regulations across multiple states.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel 40% - 50% of the time.

  • Experience scaling clinical programs across multi-state senior living portfolios.
  • Demonstrated ability to build high-performing teams and develop clinical leaders.
  • Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems and quality assurance frameworks.
  • Proficient in utilizing healthcare technology, including electronic health records (EHR), care coordination software, telehealth platforms, and data analytics tools to inform decision-making and monitor clinical performance.
