American Institutes for Research seeks a Vice President for its Evaluation, Methods, and Analytics Program Area. The role involves leading a team of experts in health economics and analytics, driving business development, and contributing to strategic direction. AIR is seeking a Vice President for the Evaluation, Methods and Analytics (EMA) Program Area within our Health Division . The EMA Program Area consists of highly trained health economists, data scientists, and qualitative researchers who are at the forefront of implementing and evaluating new health care delivery and payment models. Using health economics, advanced analytics, and mixed methods and data, they help Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and other public and private clients successfully implement and monitor alternative payment models, demonstrations, interventions, and programs and assess their impacts on access, quality and cost of care.
Reporting to the Senior Vice President (SVP) for the Health Division, the Vice President will be responsible for the people, projects, and pursuits within the EMA Program Area, including talent development, quality assurance, the efficient operation of their team, client services and business development. Vice Presidents are responsible for effectively leading staff and day-to-day operations, ensuring thought leadership, strong project performance on technical, budget, and client satisfaction dimensions, managing senior staff, and developing next generation leaders. Working with the SVP and the Vice President for Strategy and Business Development, they also routinely identify mission-aligned business development opportunities to contribute to Health Division and program area growth, expand the depth and breadth of project work, and lead the efficient and successful pursuit of those opportunities. Vice Presidents are responsible for driving strong, consistent communication and coordination within their Program Areas as well as with other Health Program Areas and other AIR Divisions, with a spirit of collaboration and transparency.
Vice Presidents also contribute to the overall vision and strategic direction for the Health Division and engage in planning and problem solving to help meet Division goals, elevating the quality of the Division leadership team’s strategic thinking, creativity, and innovation. The Vice President will be a member of the Health Leadership Team, working in close collaboration with other Health Division leaders.
This position is based in the United States and the Vice President must be able to travel as needed. The selected candidate may work remotely within the United States (U.S.) or from one of AIR’s U.S. office locations . This does not include U.S. territories.

AIR’s Total Rewards Program, is designed to reward our staff competitively and motivate them to achieve our critical mission. This position offers the anticipated annual salary as listed. Salary offers are made based on internal equity within the institution and external equity with competitive markets. Please note this is the annual salary range for candidates that are based in the United States.
