Job summary

Solid Biosciences is a precision genetic medicine company advancing a portfolio of gene therapy candidates for rare neuromuscular and cardiac diseases. The Senior Biostatistics leader will define and execute the statistical strategy for Phase 3, ensure regulatory readiness, and collaborate with the CMO on clinical strategy.

The role requires leading a biostatistics team, managing CROs, and integrating multi-omics data to support trials and submissions.

Qualifications

  • Requires Master’s or higher in Biostatistics, Statistics, or related field.
  • 15+ years in biotech/pharma with late-stage clinical experience.
  • Proven success supporting regulatory submissions and FDA/EMA interactions.
  • Experience in gene therapy, rare disease, or neuromuscular/cardiac indications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute data science, biostatistics strategy aligned to Phase 3 and regulatory success.
  • Lead statistical design and execution of Phase 3 trials, including SAPs, protocols, and interim analyses.
  • Ensure compliance with GCP, ICH guidelines, and regulatory expectations.
  • Support regulatory submissions (BLA/MAA) and health authority interactions.
  • Integrate biostatistics and multi-omics data into clinical development.
  • Advance data science approaches, including modeling and AI/ML where appropriate.
  • Lead and develop a team of 4 biostatisticians and 3 database managers.
  • Manage CROs and external partners; partner cross-functionally across Clinical, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, and Commercial.

Job description

Solid Biosciences is a precision genetic medicine company focused on advancing a portfolio of gene therapy candidates targeting rare neuromuscular and cardiac diseases, including Duchenne muscular dystrophy (Duchenne), Friedreich’s ataxia (FA), catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia (CPVT), TNNT2-mediated dilated cardiomyopathy, BAG3-mediated dilated cardiomyopathy, and additional fatal, genetic cardiac diseases. Key Position Responsibilities
  • Define and execute the company’s data science, biostatistics, and biostatistics strategy aligned to Phase 3 execution and regulatory success.
  • Serve as a core member of the Clinical Leadership Team and partner with the CMO on clinical strategy.

Experience Requirements
  • Master’s degree of higher in Biostatistics, Statistics, or related field.
  • 15+ years in biotech/pharma with late‑stage clinical experience.
  • Proven success supporting regulatory submissions and FDA/EMA interactions.
  • Experience in gene therapy, rare disease, or neuromuscular/cardiac indications preferred.
  • Expertise in clinical trial design, statistical methods, and regulatory standards.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

Compensation

The base compensation range for this role is: $288,275 - $377,128. Base salary offered is determined through an internal analysis utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity. Regular employees are eligible to receive both short‑term and long‑term incentives, including cash bonus and equity incentive opportunities, designed to reward individual performance and align incentives to Solid’s long term company performance.
