Dechra is entering an exciting phase of growth, transformation and investment in our people capabilities. We are looking for an influential Vice President, Global Talent to help elevate our global approach to leadership development, succession planning, talent acquisition, employee engagement and organisational capability.

Based at our new Boston headquarters and reporting directly to the Chief People & Culture Officer, this role offers the opportunity to shape the future of talent across a growing global organisation. You will lead the development and execution of an integrated talent strategy that ensures Dechra attracts, develops, engages and retains the talent required to achieve its long-term ambitions.

As a member of the senior People & Culture leadership team, you will act as a trusted advisor to executive leaders, driving talent decisions that strengthen leadership pipelines, build organisational capability and support sustainable business performance worldwide.

The Opportunity

As VP, Global Talent, you will define and deliver an integrated enterprise talent strategy that connects talent acquisition, talent management, leadership development, succession planning, engagement and belonging into a cohesive, high-impact talent ecosystem.

• Shape the global talent strategy, ensuring alignment with business priorities, growth ambitions and future capability requirements.
• Lead enterprise-wide talent management, succession planning and leadership pipeline development to strengthen organisational resilience and long-term performance.
• Drive leadership development and learning strategies that build capability at every level of the organisation.
• Provide strategic oversight of global Talent Acquisition, strengthening employer brand, candidate experience and executive hiring capability.
• Champion engagement and belonging initiatives that support an inclusive, high-performing culture where employees can do their best work.
• Leverage workforce planning, analytics and talent insights to inform strategic decision‑making and future workforce needs.
• Build and lead a world-class global talent team united by a One Dechra mindset and a commitment to excellence

We are seeking a highly credible and commercially minded executive with the vision, influence and leadership capability to shape talent outcomes across a complex global organisation.

You will bring:

• Significant senior HR and Talent leadership experience, including leadership of enterprise Talent Management and Talent Development strategies.
• A proven track record of building, transforming and scaling talent organisations and operating models in global environments.
• Deep expertise across leadership development, succession planning, organisational capability and workforce strategy.
• Experience influencing executive leadership teams and navigating complex business challenges with confidence and credibility.
• A strong data-driven approach, using analytics and insights to guide talent decisions and measure impact.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management and executive influencing skills.
• Experience operating within the pharmaceutical or broader life sciences sector.
