Be a Force for Lifelong Learning and Opportunity.

Join a global powerhouse on a mission to break barriers to education and unlock human potential. As Vice President of Global Operations & Strategic Partnerships, you'll shape the future of adult learning, upskilling, and workforce access for millions of learners in the U.S. and around the world.

About Us

At the heart of this role is the GED program—an iconic credential that has opened college and career pathways for over 20 million learners since 1942. Administered by GED Testing Service, a joint venture between the American Council on Education and Pearson, the GED is recognized by nearly every U.S. college and employer. Each year, the test is delivered across more than 90 countries.

We're not just a credential—we're a bridge to better futures. Our GEDWorks and Accelerated Pathways teams partner with more than 75 leading employers to deliver high-impact, turnkey education solutions for working learners.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a senior leader to lead our Global Operations and Strategic Partnerships across three high-impact, fast-moving teams:

  • Global Operations: Ensuring seamless test delivery and learner support across U.S. and international markets.
  • GEDWorks & GED+: Providing comprehensive support, coaching, and test preparation for adult learners via employer and self-pay channels.
  • Accelerated Pathways: Helping employers deliver cost-effective tuition benefit programs that drive learner success and workforce ROI.

As VP, you'll provide operational leadership to approximately 90 team members, drive cross-functional efficiency, elevate the learner experience, and grow the impact of our partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead with Vision: Develop and execute operational strategies that align with long-term goals across product, delivery, and support.
  • Optimize for Impact: Implement data-driven process improvements, embracing AI and emerging technologies to improve efficiency and learner outcomes.
  • Drive Performance: Monitor KPIs and SLAs to assess and improve service delivery across teams and partner ecosystems.
  • Inspire Teams: Lead and empower a distributed team with a culture of accountability, innovation, and development.
  • Build Strategic Partnerships: Forge and expand high-value relationships with employers, government agencies, and mission-aligned organizations to scale our brand and services.
  • Manage with Discipline: Oversee budgets and resourcing to ensure sustainable growth and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with internal stakeholders, legal teams, and executives to align priorities and deliver results.

About you

  • 10+ years of senior leadership experience in education, edtech, corporate training, or upskilling.
  • Proven success managing large, distributed teams with a track record of talent development and performance improvement.
  • Deep understanding of adult learners, workforce education, and tuition benefit strategies.
  • Strong strategic acumen and experience navigating complex partner ecosystems.
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills—with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Experience building and sustaining executive-level relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's in business, education, or communications strongly preferred.
  • Comfortable with U.S. travel (~15-20%) and remote team leadership.

Your Reward & Benefits:

We offer competitive benefits tailored to diverse teams and their families. Compensation varies based on skills, experience, and location. The full-time base salary range is $150,000 - $200,000, with eligibility for annual incentives and comprehensive benefits.

For legal compliance, the pay range in certain states is specified accordingly.
