The pay range is indicative of projected hiring range, however base pay will be determined based on a candidate's work location, skills and experience.

The Opportunity:

Mattel is seeking a Vice President, Global Insights & Analytics to build and lead a globally integrated enterprise intelligence capability spanning Consumer Insights, Shopper, Retail, and Business Insights, Social & Cultural Intelligence, and Advanced Analytics & Data Science. Connecting consumers, culture, customers, markets, and business performance, this leader will proactively identify opportunities, shape strategy, accelerate innovation, and improve the quality and speed of decision-making across Mattel.


As Mattel strengthens its brand-led operating model, this capability will provide brand and enterprise leaders with a shared intelligence foundation for making faster, more impactful decisions. Partnering closely with executive leadership, this leader will establish rigorous, repeatable, and measurable approaches that turn complex inputs into aligned decisions and actions, creating a common language around opportunity, value, performance, and risk.


What Your Impact Will Be:

Enterprise Strategy & Growth


  • Shape enterprise strategy, portfolio priorities, and growth through an integrated view of consumers, customers, culture, markets, and business performance.

  • Proactively identify emerging needs, cultural shifts, whitespace, opportunities, and risks.

  • Enable brand leaders to identify, size, prioritize, and measure growth opportunities through consistent intelligence and decision frameworks.

  • Bring an objective, evidence-based perspective to high-priority opportunities and strategic decisions.


Connected Intelligence & Foresight


  • Integrate consumer, shopper, retail, cultural, market, and business data into a connected intelligence ecosystem and common fact base.

  • Apply predictive analytics, scenario planning, AI, and data science to improve foresight and decision-making.

  • Build scalable intelligence tools that identify meaningful signals and translate data into practical decision support.


Decision Rigor & Activation


  • Establish common definitions, metrics, benchmarks, and measurement standards for assessing opportunity, value, performance, and risk.

  • Build simple, repeatable frameworks and scorecards that enable teams to evaluate opportunities consistently and align quickly.

  • Translate complex and sometimes conflicting inputs into clear, compelling recommendations that drive action.

  • Connect decisions to marketplace outcomes, creating measurable learning loops that improve future decisions.

  • Exceptional ability to synthesize disparate data and perspectives into clear, actionable recommendations.

  • Track record of establishing rigorous measurement systems, common definitions, and repeatable decision processes.

  • Consumer and commercial acumen with ability to connect intelligence to measurable business growth.

  • Fluency in modern analytics, predictive modeling, AI, and data science, with the judgment to apply them pragmatically.

  • Ability to balance rigor with simplicity and speed.

  • Exceptional executive communication and storytelling skills.

  • Track record of building high-performing multidisciplinary teams and leading transformation.

  • Operates with agility, urgency, objectivity, sound judgment, and confidence in ambiguity.
