Job summary

Centene is seeking an Executive to lead the Finance function (FP&A and G&A) for the Business Unit. The role is hybrid, with 3 days a week in the NYC office, and involves directing financial analysis, planning, forecasting and reporting to senior management.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field, 8+ years in a high-level finance role in healthcare or insurance, and CPA is preferred.

Location:

Hybrid - 3 days a week in the NYC office, two weeks out of the month.

Position Purpose:

Provide leadership, oversight and proactive management of all aspects of finance (FP&A and G&A) for the Business Unit.

• Oversee all finance FP&A and G&A related activities for business unit including developing and monitoring progress against Annual Operating Plan.
• Responsible for financial analysis, identification of month end financial drivers, and forecasting including headcount planning to ensure compliance with state requirements.
• Responsible for identifying medical cost trends.
• Align with Corporate Functions on Reserving Methodology and Medical Cost Estimates
• Prepare Management and Reporting Packs on Financial Performance
• Review monthly performance and financial results of the business units and provide recommendations, rationale for variances and impact to forecast to senior management.
• Responsible for the business unit's contribution to corporate.
• Establish financial strategic vision, objectives, policies and procedures in support of the overall strategic plan.
• Direct health plan analytical needs and coordinate reporting strategy.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or equivalent experience required. Master's Degree preferred. 8+ years in a high-level finance role in the healthcare or insurance industry required. Previous management experience including responsibilities for hiring, training, assigning work and managing performance of staff.

CPA Preferred. Medicaid And Medicare Experience Preferred.

Pay Range: $188,900.00 - $359,800.00 per year
