ABOUT NORTHLANDS COLLEGE
Northlands College provides courses and programs in several campuses across northern Saskatchewan. Each campus offers specific programs and courses, with many programs offered in multiple locations.
Northlands College is unique in that it crosses multiple boundaries unlike most other organizations, as we operate in communities whose populations are mostly comprised of people who identify as Métis, Dene or Cree. We are the only educational institution offering post-secondary education that has its administrative offices located in northern Saskatchewan which helps to create employment and, in turn, aids the economy of this region.
At Northlands College we provide high quality education and training programs and services that meet the development and employment needs of Northerners, enhance the social and economic conditions, prepare Northerners to participate in the labour market, and help industry meet its labour force needs. The College fosters unique experience in delivery methods, learner support, and partnerships. THE POSITION
The Vice President – Finance, Administration & Sustainability provides strategic and operational leadership across the College’s finance, administration, human resources, facilities, IT, and sustainability portfolios. Reporting directly to the President & CEO, the Vice President plays a critical role in ensuring the College’s financial health, operational efficiency, and long-term sustainability. This role supports and advises the President and Board of Directors, manages high-stakes compliance and reporting functions, and collaborates with leaders across the organization to integrate sustainability and innovation into all aspects of operations.
The Vice President is a key member of the executive team and contributes to institutional planning, governance, and continuous improvement.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned and forward-thinking executive with deep expertise in financial management, organizational leadership, and strategic planning. They will bring a collaborative leadership style, strong communication skills, and a demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, and sustainability.
With a background in finance or administration ideally within a public sector or post-secondary environment the successful candidate will offer a clear vision, sound judgement, and a passion for community impact.
A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, financial management, business administration, commerce or a related field.
Ten (10) plus years of progressive leadership experience preferably in post-secondary education.
Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, policy development, and financial management.
Experience working with Indigenous communities.

THE COMPENSATION
