Qualifications

• 10+ years of healthcare finance experience.
• Senior finance leadership within a multi-hospital system.
• Proven track record improving margins and reducing costs.
• Strong understanding of hospital finance, payer mix, labor costs, and service-line profitability.
• Experience with large-scale capital planning and financial strategy.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for executive audiences.
• CPA, MBA or MHA preferred.

Our client is a regional nonprofit hospital system with $2.8B in net revenue, four acute-care hospitals, an employed physician group of 600 providers, and a growing ambulatory footprint. The system holds strong market share and an investment-grade rating, and is executing a deliberate margin recovery plan.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Vice President of Finance to lead financial operations across the healthcare system. This role will work closely with the CFO and will play a key role in improving margins, supporting payer strategy, and managing capital planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, and financial planning across the system
• Drive margin improvement through labor cost management and operational efficiency
• Support payer negotiations and value-based contract financial modeling
• Lead capital planning for hospitals, ambulatory services, and technology
• Support financial planning for the physician group

Compensation

$460,000–$510,000 base salary, positioned at the upper end of the market for system finance leadership, plus a management incentive plan and executive retirement benefits.
