Job summary

GH Engage seeks a seasoned executive to lead EHS and physical security across a growing data center portfolio. You will shape enterprise policies, governance, and systems to support safe, compliant growth across multiple campuses.

You will partner with Operations, Engineering, Construction, Development, and executive leadership to embed safety and security throughout the facility lifecycle, from construction to live operations, driving zero-harm performance.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of progressive EHS, safety, security, or operational risk leadership.
  • Experience in data centers, mission-critical facilities, utilities, or other high-voltage environments.
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA 70E, OSHA regulations, electrical safety, LOTO, and contractor safety.
  • Experience developing and implementing enterprise-wide EHS standards across multiple locations.
  • Experience overseeing environmental compliance, permitting, hazardous materials, fuel management, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with site safety and security programs and incident investigations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the enterprise EHS and physical security strategy across a multi-site data center portfolio.
  • Establish consistent safety standards for live electrical and mission-critical environments.
  • Own electrical safety governance, including NFPA 70E, arc-flash controls, LOTO, and safe-work practices.
  • Lead contractor safety programs across construction, commissioning, maintenance, and operations.
  • Develop company-wide incident management, investigation, and corrective-action processes.
  • Oversee environmental compliance, permitting, hazardous materials, fuel management, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead site safety and security audits and drive corrective actions across the portfolio.
  • Establish consistent physical security standards across access control, surveillance, visitor management, and contracted security services.
  • Partner with site teams to strengthen emergency preparedness, business continuity, and crisis-response procedures.
  • Develop EHS performance metrics, dashboards, and executive reporting.
  • Support new-site development and operational readiness from an EHS and security perspective.
  • Build a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and zero-harm performance.

Vice President, EHS & Critical Infrastructure Security

GH Engage is supporting a rapidly expanding data center platform in the appointment of a Vice President, EHS & Critical Infrastructure Security.

This is a senior leadership position with responsibility for developing and scaling environmental, health, safety, and physical security standards across a growing portfolio of mission-critical facilities.

The successful candidate will combine deep EHS expertise with a strong understanding of high-voltage electrical environments, contractor safety, regulatory compliance, operational risk, and physical security within data centers or similarly complex critical infrastructure.

The Opportunity

As Vice President, EHS & Critical Infrastructure Security, you'll establish the policies, governance, systems, and culture required to support safe and compliant growth across multiple data center campuses.

You'll partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Construction, Development, and executive leadership, ensuring safety and security requirements are embedded throughout the facility lifecycle — from construction and commissioning through live operations.

This is a highly visible position suited to an experienced EHS leader who has previously built scalable programs across complex, high-risk environments.

What You'll Bring
  • 15+ years of progressive EHS, safety, security, or operational risk leadership
  • Significant experience within data centers, mission-critical facilities, utilities, power, industrial infrastructure, or other high-voltage environments
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA 70E, OSHA regulations, electrical safety, LOTO, and contractor safety
  • Experience developing and implementing enterprise-wide EHS standards across multiple locations
  • Strong understanding of environmental compliance, permitting, and regulatory requirements
  • Experience overseeing physical security systems and site-security operations
  • Proven ability to lead incident investigations, RCA, and corrective-action programs
  • Experience working with large contractor populations in live operational environments
  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder-management skills
  • Ability to travel regularly across the US
  • Experience with data center operations, hyperscale facilities, or large-scale critical infrastructure development would be highly valuable
  • CSP, CIH, CPP, or equivalent professional accreditation would be advantageous
