Post-close, the VP takes a board seat on acquired companies, owning board cadence, monitoring, and value-creation follow-through, and later helps shape the exit thesis and lead the sale process.Cequel III invests permanent family capital in control positions, typically $15-25M equity checks, in lower middle market companies. There is no fund life, no fundraising, and no LP reporting, so hold periods are driven by the business rather than a fund calendar.Candidates should have 6-10 years of transaction experience with meaningful lower middle market private equity execution and control buyout reps required, along with demonstrated end-to-end deal ownership from sourcing through close, including financing. Strong modeling and structuring fluency is required, as is the ability to run a process without large-fund infrastructure. Board or portfolio oversight exposure is preferred, and founder or family seller experience is a plus.
