We are seeking a visionary and globally minded VP of Digital Strategy – Education to shape and elevate the future of the student experience. This role is ideal for a dynamic executive with deep roots in education technology, who brings a high level of executive presence and a passion for leveraging innovation to transform lives through exceptional digital journeys.
The VP will lead strategic partnerships with Education sector clients across the U.S., using cutting-edge digital solutions to reimagine student engagement, streamline operations, and amplify growth. The successful candidate will serve as a thought leader and catalyst for innovation, enabling Compass’ Education sector to remain at the forefront of digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Champion Innovation and Digital Vision: Serve as a visionary leader redefining the student experience using next-generation digital technologies, including AI, IoT, data analytics, and mobile-first platforms.
- Global Strategic Thinking: Drive and influence long-term digital strategies aligned with global education trends, adapting scalable and sustainable solutions that reflect the evolving needs of diverse student populations.
- Executive Leadership and Communication: Operate with high executive presence, effectively advising and influencing C-suite leaders, institutional decision-makers, and internal business units across Compass Group.
- Build and Scale Strategic Capabilities: Lead and mentor a high-performing strategy team to accelerate digital innovation across the Education sector, ensuring alignment with overarching business goals and student engagement initiatives.
- Transformational Consulting: Act as a senior digital advisor to business operators and client partners, delivering transformative strategies that unify technology with the student lifecycle—from orientation to graduation.
- Collaborative Partner Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams (Product, UX, Engineering, Marketing, Data & Insights, and E15) and external technology partners to co-create best-in-class digital solutions.
- Business Development Support: Provide thought leadership in the sales process, articulating the value of digital innovation and enabling Compass to differentiate and grow its Education portfolio.
- Pilot and Scale Innovation: Design and implement pilot programs in collaboration with Education clients to validate impact, foster adoption, and scale successful initiatives.
- Governance and Executive Reporting: Present strategic updates to senior leadership and clients, providing actionable insights and progress on key digital milestones.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of progressive experience in digital strategy, education technology, innovation consulting, or digital transformation within the education sector.
- Proven track record of driving innovation and leading digital change in large-scale, complex organizations—ideally with exposure to global educational markets or institutions.
- Strong executive presence, with exceptional ability to build trust and influence diverse stakeholders at the highest levels.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and implementing technology-driven solutions that improve the student experience, operational efficiency, and institutional growth.
- Deep familiarity with EdTech platforms, LMS systems, student engagement tools, and data-driven personalization strategies.
- Demonstrated excellence in digital consulting, technology partnership management, and strategic advisory for education-focused enterprises.
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
- Prior experience in digital agencies, consulting firms, or enterprise technology roles supporting education or adjacent sectors.
- Strong communication skills with proven success in delivering executive-level presentations.
