Job description

Compensation: $210,000 - $260,000 per year. You are eligible for a Short-Term Incentive Plan with the target at 30% of your annual earnings; terms and conditions apply.

Vice President, Digital Health & Enterprise Solutions – Remote (PST Preferred) or Hybrid in Aliso Viejo, CA

The Vice President of Digital Health and Enterprise Solutions will be a visionary leader responsible for the strategic direction, product development, and service delivery of our digital health initiatives and enterprise solutions. This role demands a unique blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership skills to drive innovation and growth in this rapidly evolving sector.

Essential Functions

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive digital health and enterprise solutions strategy aligned with Ambry’s overall business objectives
  • Identify emerging trends, technologies, and market opportunities to ensure the company remains at the forefront of the industry
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, technology partners, and regulators
  • Ensure that digital health initiatives are scalable, sustainable, and deliver measurable business value
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, marketing, sales, and clinical operations, to ensure alignment and successful implementation of digital health initiatives
  • Communicate the value proposition of digital health and enterprise solutions to senior leadership and other stakeholders
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch and beyond
  • Promote and foster industry best practices in Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Lead cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver innovative digital health products and enterprise solutions
  • Ensure products meet the highest standards of quality, usability, and regulatory compliance
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the product development team
  • Manage the delivery of digital health services to clients, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction and outcomes
  • Implement best practices and processes to optimize service delivery and operational efficiency
  • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to drive improvements and achieve business goals
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of professionals in product development, service delivery, and other relevant areas
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages innovation and excellence
  • Provide clear direction, set performance expectations, and hold team members accountable for achieving results
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Business) or equivalent work experience; Master’s degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in digital health, enterprise solutions, or related industries
  • Proven track record of successfully leading digital health product development and service delivery teams
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and standards in the healthcare industry
  • Experienced in software development lifecycle (SDLC) process for digital health products
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically

Preferred

  • Experience deploying and delivering national digital health systems
  • Strong background in healthcare IT, with experience in Epic EHR systems, and other open-source technologies
  • Understanding of community health programs and knowledge of best practices in deploying technology-based solutions in remote environments. Strong understanding of the ICT4D landscape and best practices, specifically digital health, digital education, and application of digital health tools
  • Proficiency in cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern tech stacks
  • Solid understanding of security, data privacy and compliance (HIPAA) in large scale systems
  • Experience in application development with a focus on API, DevOps, Web, Mobile App technologies
  • Experience architecting solutions in a cloud-native context (AWS)
  • Application development in diverse technologies such as Java, JavaScript, Node.js, Next.js, Python
  • Experience in healthcare organization with deep experience in Epic/Aura EHR and proprietary API
