Job summary

U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) seeks a senior adviser to lead the Office of Development Policy (ODP) as part of the CEO's executive staff. The role focuses on establishing policies and procedures for the statutory Environmental & Social review, U.S. effects, and the Development Impact of DFC projects.

The position provides expert guidance to the CEO and policy leadership, overseeing ODP operations and ensuring rigorous E&S analyses across international investments.

• Experience guiding analysis of projected/actual development impacts of international development, investment, and/or finance projects.

Job description

This position is located in the Office of Development Policy (ODP) at the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), and serves as a member of the Chief Executive Officer's executive staff and as a key consultant and adviser to the Chief Policy Officer. You'll manage DFC's ODP with responsibility for establishing policies & procedures for carrying out DFC statutory review of the Environmental & Social (E&S) Impact, the U.S. effects, and the Development Impact (DI) of DFC projects.

You may qualify at the SL-00 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirements:

Candidates must have at least one year of specialized experience related to this position. This experience must be at or above the GS-15 grade level or equivalent.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:

Specialized experience for this position is defined as:

1. Experience providing effective leadership and supervision to subordinates in a multi-tiered organization; AND
2. Experience providing expert guidance on environmental and social risk assessments of international projects/investments; OR
3. Experience providing expert guidance on the analysis of projected and actual development impacts of international development, international impact investing, and/or international finance projects.
