The Vice President of Development is responsible for leading Morrison Child and Family Services’ (Morrison) Development, Marketing, and Communications. This role provides an exciting opportunity to build upon our well‑established fundraising efforts as we grow and expand our organization.
The VP works closely with our CEO, our small but mighty development team, including a Development Specialist and a Marketing & Communications Specialist, our Board Members, and our community of supporters to build and strengthen relationships, enhance donor appreciation & engagement efforts, and secure and grow philanthropic support and corporate sponsorships in support of our mission.
This is hands‑on fundraising, directly supporting the success of a $40m organization as we drive towards serving 10,000 children and families per year. The VP leads fundraising strategy development, annual planning, and execution through all fundraising channels as well as marketing, communication, and strengthening our brand in Oregon, and nationally as we look to expand our impact. More specifically, the VP serves as Morrison’s primary ambassador to the philanthropic community, managing a high‑impact donor portfolio, making direct asks, closes gifts, hosting events and building the infrastructure for sustained fundraising success. The VP is also a key public relations contact for the organization and an outwardly visible executive. This is an incredible opportunity to make a difference in our community, throughout Oregon, and beyond.
