DESCRIPTION
The VP of Engineering and Design Technology is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Michael Baker’s Architecture & Engineering Design technology landscape. This role collaborates with engineering and business leaders (Regional Directors, Office Executives, Practice Leaders) and strategic partners (Autodesk, Bentley, ESRI, Bluebeam, Microsoft, etc.) to drive and develop digital enablement solutions aligned with Michael Baker’s overall strategy, business objectives, and internal and external customer requirements. This role sets the vision, develops the strategy, enables innovation, and implements engineering solutions that align with the company’s goals and objectives, creating business value.
The position emphasizes the integration of various technologies, fostering innovation, and leveraging AEC, geospatial, and survey skillsets to develop advanced solutions and technical deliveries. It drives corporate digitalization, standardization, and enforcement by implementing diverse projects across multiple business units. As a key player in shaping and leading digital delivery and IT initiatives, this role will be at the forefront of driving technological advancements in the industry. Additionally, it provides enterprise-level strategic direction for the IT department, analyzes trends, and develops long-range plans designed to enable and expand our core offerings and establish new technology-enabled business lines. It also involves managing support roles for internal clients, developing their self-sufficiency through training and guidance, and assisting in the creation of new client-oriented products, solutions, and services.

REQUIREMENTS
Must be U.S. Citizen
*15 years of AEC experience, with 5 years management experience.
*Bachelor's or Master’s degree in an AEC related field, IT or similar. Additional degree or certification applicable to the position, a plus.
*License Registrations: any AEC or IT related, a plus.
COMPENSATION
The approximate compensation range for this position $167,793 - $317,137 per year. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
