A leading financial institution is seeking a Vice President to manage credit risk analysis and underwriting within the Global Markets Credit group. The role requires extensive experience in financial services and offers a competitive salary and industry-leading benefits.
Responsible for analysis to support underwriting of hedge fund credit risk, issuer risk, credit mitigation in structured transactions, or counterparty risk. Additional duties include proactive evaluation of Problem Assets, some limit approval authority, and reporting of capital markets credit risk. The Counterparty Credit Risk Specialist primarily interfaces with traders, marketers, and other risk/support groups such as Compliance, Finance, and Operations. Typically, incumbents have over five years of experience in credit risk management, with necessary product knowledge and credit skills.
This role is within the Global Markets Credit (GMC) group in the Enterprise Credit organization.
GMC ensures consistent credit underwriting for Global Markets lending activities, including financing secured by financial and physical assets. The Vice President will assist with credit underwriting and portfolio management for the US asset-backed securitization finance (ABSF) portfolio, which includes warehouse and term loans secured by assets like auto loans, aircraft, shipping containers, student loans, credit card receivables, equipment leases, and securitizations.
The Vice President will collaborate with senior and junior team members within GMC and coordinate with the ABS Banking team, Rates trading team, and other Risk partners to promote responsible loan growth. The role involves participation in deal screening, negotiations, due diligence, credit committee processes, transaction review, and ongoing portfolio monitoring. The Vice President will exercise credit approval authority for amendments, waivers, renewals, and extensions, and will assist in preparing credit memos, reports, policy updates, risk scorecards, and respond to regulatory inquiries and limit requests.

Salary Range: $107,100 - $174,500 annually, based on experience, education, and skills. Discretionary incentive eligible, linked to individual and company performance.
