Job summary

SitusAMC is seeking a Vice President, Counterparty Risk & Corporate Credit Analysis to oversee ongoing credit risk assessment for originators, servicers and counterparty partners in our real estate finance business in New York.

You will review financial statements, monitor covenant compliance, and lead risk reviews for senior management, supporting risk mitigation and policy refinement. Base salary ranges are provided with discretionary bonus potential.

The Vice President, Counterparty Risk & Corporate Credit Analysis will be responsible for the ongoing assessment, monitoring, and management of counterparty credit risk associated with originators, servicers, and other transaction counterparties. This role will focus on evaluating the financial and operational strength of counterparties, monitoring credit exposure, tracking covenant compliance, and identifying emerging risks that could impact transaction performance.

• Conduct ongoing credit surveillance and monitoring of corporate and counterparty exposures, assessing financial strength, liquidity, leverage, capital adequacy, and overall creditworthiness.
• Review and analyze quarterly and annual financial statements, earnings releases, regulatory filings, and management reporting packages.
• Monitor financial performance trends and liquidity metrics to identify potential deterioration in credit quality or emerging risks.
• Ensure compliance with financial covenants and reporting requirements, including the identification and escalation of potential covenant breaches.
• Perform periodic reassessments of internal counterparty and credit risk ratings, incorporating financial performance, market developments, and qualitative risk factors.
• Evaluate the impact of changing economic, industry, regulatory, and business conditions on counterparty and corporate credit risk profiles.
• Assess servicing and operational capabilities of counterparties, including collection performance, delinquency management, default trends, workout strategies, and loss mitigation practices.
• Monitor management, ownership, operational, and strategic changes that could affect a counterparty's financial condition or risk profile.
• Conduct sector and peer analysis to benchmark performance and identify relative strengths and weaknesses.
• Prepare detailed credit reviews, surveillance reports, and risk assessments for presentations to senior management and credit committees.
• Partner with business, risk, legal, and compliance teams to support transaction approvals, counterparty onboarding, and ongoing risk oversight.
• Recommend risk mitigation strategies, exposure limits, and monitoring enhancements where appropriate.
• Support the development and refinement of counterparty risk management policies, procedures, and surveillance frameworks.

Preferred Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field
• 7-12+ years of experience in Counterparty Credit Risk, Corporate Credit Analysis, Credit Risk Management, Corporate Banking, Structured Finance, ABS/CMBS Surveillance, or Credit Research.
• Strong experience monitoring financial covenants, liquidity, and ongoing credit performance.
• Understanding of structured finance counterparties, loan servicers, asset managers, broker-dealers, banks, and other financial institutions.
• Experience evaluating operational and servicing performance, particularly within lending, securitization, structured products, or asset management platforms.
• Advanced financial statement analysis and credit memorandum writing skills.
• Familiarity with rating agency methodologies and internal credit rating frameworks.

The annual full time base salary range for this role is

$150,000.00 - $185,000.00

Specific compensation is determined through interviews and a review of relevant education, experience, training, skills, geographic location and alignment with market data. Additionally, certain positions may be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus as determined by bonus program guidelines, position eligibility and SitusAMC Senior Management approval.
