Job description

The VP of Cloud Ops reports directly to the Chief Delivery Officer and owns the Cloud, Security, and IT teams. The candidate is a proven technology leader who will be responsible for managing all development, test, and production environments for both clients and internal stakeholders – in a secure, robust, and performant fashion. This role will focus on delivering excellence when it comes to system uptime, change management, cost-effectiveness, disaster recovery, business continuity, security, and compliance IT infrastructure. The role will contribute directly to maximizing enterprise value through three key levers: 1) materially increase productivity and scale of the cloud team, 2) materially increase the quality and reliability of the production environments, and 3) achieve improved customer profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Continuously enhance the security and compliance of production environments, implementing best practices and new security measures
• Ensure high availability of cloud services, maintaining reliable and continuous access to cloud-based resources and applications
• Develop and implement a robust system for tracking and reporting key performance indicators (KPIs) to enhance accountability across the organization
• Build and evolve scalable IT operations and processes effectively
• Manage vendor relationships effectively, from selection through to negotiating contracts, ensuring favorable terms and strategic partnerships.
• Attention to detail: Involves a meticulous approach to work, prioritizing accuracy and thoroughness to ensure high-quality outcomes.
• Extreme ownership: Encapsulates taking full responsibility for one’s actions and their outcomes, emphasizing accountability and learning from experiences.
• Regulatory knowledge: Ensures compliance with industry regulations to manage risks and maintain standards.
• System monitoring: Monitors systems to ensure performance stability and quick issue resolution.
• Risk assessment: Conducts thorough risk assessments to safeguard organizational interests.
• Disciplined Execution: Detail-oriented and organized, this leader prioritizes effectively, excels at time management, and anticipates well in decision making.
